Facing impending sacrifice by an anonymous cult, Reine Bishaud is rescued by the Original Sin of Wrath, Azrael, before she can be murdered in cold blood. Feeling appeased by her wrathful vengeance, the demon prolongs Reine’s imminent end and promises to hunt down her would-be killers- in exchange for her soul. However, the resolution is not as simple as either of them had expected as the cult is protected by the Original Sin of Pride- the First and strongest. As Reine and Azrael wander into a twisted world of paranormal disaster and perils as old as time itself, they are faced with no other option but to go in search of a way to kill the Sin of Pride, a feat no other being has come close to achieving.

As their search prolongs and their time draws short, Azrael has to come to grips with his own Wrath and overcome his own incompetence, while Reine tries to survive the madness of her new world and accept her own mortality before the Prideful danger haunting the city’s streets claims them both.
